แต่ฝั่งไฮดี้ดันไม่ได้คิดแบบนั้น! พอเจอกับตัวที่ใหญ่ยักษ์และออร่าข่มของกริฟฟินเข้าไป น้องก็ตกใจกลัวจนสติแตก พยายามจะโกยเกียร์หมาหนีตามสัญชาตญาณ เพราะยังไม่ไว้ใจพี่ใหญ่หน้าดุตัวนี้ บรรยากาศเลยเริ่มตึงเครียดขึ้นมาทันที จนทำให้ ลีโอ คนขับรถตุ๊กตุ๊ก กับ ทอม ต้องรีบโดดเข้ามาช่วยแยกทั้งคู่ออกจากกันก่อน

สถานการณ์นี้เห็นได้ชัดเลยว่า ความหวังดีอันอบอุ่นของกริฟฟินมันสวนทางกับความหวาดระแวงตามสัญชาตญาณของไฮดี้สิ้นเชิง ซึ่งก็นับเป็นจุดเริ่มต้นของการปรับตัว ที่คงต้องใช้เวลา ความอดทน และความเข้าใจอีกพอสมควรกว่าที่คู่นี้จะสนิทกันได้
